City Of Raleigh Museum Renovation Project

This conceptual renovation project for the COR Museum—housed in Raleigh’s historic Briggs Building—focused on enhancing the museum’s gift shop and street-facing window display to increase visibility, engagement, and storytelling. The design aimed to reflect the museum’s mission of preserving Raleigh’s rich cultural and historical identity while modernizing its visitor experience.

Brighter, more interactive window displays with themed visuals, bold graphics, and digital storytelling to attract passersby,Modernized lighting to highlight merchandise and exhibits, including adjustable spotlights, linear strips, and ambient fixtures,Color integration through custom carpet tiles and display elements that reflect the museum’s branding and Interactive features like QR codes, animated displays, and potential AR experiences to engage a wider audience.

The design considered both aesthetic appeal and accessibility, creating an inviting and dynamic space that encourages learning, exploration, and repeat visits.
