Farnsworth House Reimagined

Location: Plano, IL Year: 2024 Software: Revit

This project is a detailed study and reimagining of the iconic Farnsworth House by Mies van der Rohe, developed through architectural drawing and digital modeling in Revit. The goal was to analyze, document, and reinterpret the original modernist masterpiece through spatial understanding, technical drafting, and thoughtful design planning.

Floor plans and elevations reflecting the house’s open-concept living philosophy.Detailed building sections and core callouts showcasing the minimalist structural clarity.Interior and exterior renderings that highlight the seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.Material and lighting considerations that respect the house’s transparency and simplicity.Functional zoning within the open plan, including living, dining, sleeping, and office areas

This project deepened the understanding of modernist design principles, structural logic, and the power of architectural restraint—informing how I approach light, form, and space in residential design today.
